This is a clip from a video that has recently been released by FAIR (Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research) which answers the DNA controversy raised by critics of the Church.
In this video, many scholars and geneticists were interviewed as they discuss the issue of DNA and The Book of Mormon.
This clip discusses:

*The critics who raise these questions

*The area of where The Book of Mormon took place

*If others were here when the people of The Book of Mormon arrived

*The populating of the Americas

The full-length video, which is 1 hour and 20 minutes long, can be purchased at the FAIR bookstore here:

for $13.00

  • Show me these horses your books talk about, as well as elephants, in the New World! You have "battles" of thousands and tens of thousands of people... using metal weapons... and NO EVIDENCE! Then, if this is (always illustrated as central america) a central american group, where does North Eastern America come into this picture?

  • We have a video on Horses and Elephants you may be interested in, and even those are outdated. I was just reading this morning of more recent finds of elephants and horses found in Pre-Columbian America. As time goes on, we find more and more evidence in behalf of The Book of Mormon.

"There are way more witnesses saying that those things don't exist,"

Remember Lemmings? People believed they marched off cliffs into the sea in large groups. Worldwide, people believe this, but it is not true. In fact, it was a myth "proved" by a canadian tv crew when they threw these animals into the sea, off cliffs, and filmed it. They showed it as a fact, and everyone believed it, and still do. Are you going to side with "most people" or actual facts? I choose facts.

  • @Kaguamax

It's too bad your ancients died out, they might have given humanity a better chance for a math, science and technology based society, rather than the religious nonsense one we have.

  • @FighterOfWhatsRight

How is it ANY more believable than dragons? I'm asking you- not being sarcastic. I dont think there's a single shred of evidence to suggest any creator! Just because you have a "gut feeling" that is satisfied by a "creator" concept, dosnt make it reasonable. Be specific about how Dragons are less plausible than Thor, Pele, Quetzalcoatl, the triple gods of christianity, astrology or other deities- or even characters from books.

  • @cameraperson However, it is not unreasonable to believe someone created us, it's not as crazy-sounding as believing in dragons.

  • @FighterOfWhatsRight

But here's what you're missing. Some folks claim god exists. Others say dragons exist. They both have the same amount of evidence. Who cares if one group is larger than the other? I'd rather hold a truth in my head rather than nonsense.

  • @cameraperson Again, all those things only have a few people caliming it. Once again, the court analogy, this time with dragons, cartoons, and astrology. There are way more witnesses saying that those things don't exist, therefore those things lose in a court. the idea of a God has billions of witnesses, cartoons, astrology, dragons, etc do not.

  • @FighterOfWhatsRight

Should I "believe in" all things that cant be proved NOR disproved? Dragons, cartoon characters, and astrology can not be disproved nor can they be proved to be real. Some people believe they ARE real. You believe your gods are real.

Why do you pick and choose which ones you give credibility? I'll answer that- so you dont feel "weird" telling others you do not believe. Well, I do not believe. Provide evidence or keep quiet.

  • @cameraperson Are the witnesses to the civil war captured on HD? Do you not believe in the civil war and that it occured? Or not necessarily the civil war, how about anything in history that was over 150 years ago? None of that history has people on HD and some only have accounts from witnesses: the Bible is an account from witnesses, as are all other scriptures.

  • @cameraperson But is there evidence for no God? One can not prove the existence of a God, nor the nonexistence. Once again I'll bring up the court anology: If both sides can't produce real evidence, then most likely the one with more witnesses wins.
