@TheKenfig Apparently, my mind was playing tricks with me as I think i was wrong ; it WAS on a Sunday, as usual. I had a job with my brother, cutting grass in an old lady's garden on the Saturday and were paid £10 each, a lot then. I was 17 and needed beer money to go out on Saturday night !. That was plenty then. I was free to watch this on the Sunday and as reseach shows, the final day of the Championships which is always Men's final day, was the 6th July that year, on a Sunday
