@voicemad Cont;like Tabarro,Forza, Otello,Pagliacci,Carmen&Aida (messico city)Great.Corelli&Del Monaco are 2 of my favorites&I like them only marginally over 1 another depending on the role.I saw Corelli in Trovatore, in early 1960s& he was really great.I saw Del Monaco in Otello concert& the voice was truly a phenomenon. He sounded like he had a built in amplifier& the voice was more focused than FCs.They were bothgreat&always had the ability to thrill the public, even in their declining years

@voicemad I think Corelli had a warm vibrating voice as appose to the bronze like quality that more describes DelMonaco,by many. Each singer interprets roles in the best way they deem possible.Del Monaco was really an excellent interpreter for his unique dramatic style of singing.MDM had perfect diction& phrasing&did sing many times with nuance, using mezza voce in Forza, Otello,O Paradiso,Cielo e Mar,Flower song,Butterfly&Ballo&Manon. But MDM did reign supreme in the more dramatic roles.Continue

@andyglitter Yes, I agree his is voice fabulous. . He was intoxicating and of roust hard bronze voice. That he loved to just give of his best just hops off my computer. He was probably near Caruso in voice power and his love to communicate. Del Monaco had the power but was a rough dude when it came to interpreting. He had very little subtelty.
it's not good to listen to Corelli, it makes your standards go higher and then all other tenors sound OK at most!
