Handsfree operation on WindowsXP

I use Freetrack for an operation of mouse cursor. I also use Microsoft SAPI and GlovePIE for various commands. These can allow me to handle PC with only my head, though it seems impossible to use the dictation mode which writes a text by speech recognition when the handsfree operation is performed. But it's a very low-cost system and the cost is for hardwares that Freetrack uses.

- a webcam

音声認識でWindowsXPを操作してみる

マイクに「ポン」と喋るとクリック。頭を動かすとマウスカーソルが連動します。手を使わずに頭部だけでマウス操作ができます。この動画では文字入力は行っていませんが、設­定すれば可能です。障害などでパソコンの操作が難しい場合に、選択肢のひとつになるかも知れません。また非常に安価（3千円程度）です。一回の発声で複数の操作が出来るの­でマクロにも使えます。

音声認識にはMicrosoft SAPIとGlovePIEを使い、マウスカーソルの移動にはFreetrackを使っています。全て無料で公開されています。なお「GlovePIEでの音声認識」と「­Microsoft SAPIでの文字入力（ディクテーション）」は同時に使えないようです。

Google FaceAPI (all one word) and SeeingMachines (all one word). They have a non-commercial license available for free. If you want to develop commercially there is a fee.
