Queensland Rails 2BM7 takes the lead to the top of the grade with 11000 EMD horses with notably the old 2000 HP non turbo unit barking the loudest. Pacific National 9306 from Tocumwal follows with a pair of A class 2500HP units making a sandwich of the little 1000 HP P class unit.
And no folks that is not a dirty lens. I suspect it is far more serious as it wasn't there before the camera took a big hit shortly before this was shot. The wind was, as you can see was fierce. It took out my very heavy tripod and my very expensive camera.
Because of the wind the sound is a little subdued. The microphone was sheltered in thick grass. You may note in the opening scene the whistling which is wind affected and was sound taken from the second camera.

  • Thats murphy's law for you!!!,the car tools are a good idea, you have them in the car allready??

  • Still, thats a pricey mishap, better than a new one I suppose!!!,maybe a weight on the unattended tripod??,just more crap to carry though?, cheers Gregg.

  • @FishplateFilms I was in South Oz recently and it blew a gale every day. Not once did I walk away from the tripod without putting the camera on the ground first. Might rig up some of the car tool kit in a bag to hang on it.

  • Another good catch Rod,hope you get the camera issues sorted!. Cheers Gregg.

  • @FishplateFilms Got the quote......$1800 which is far better than I expected.

  • To bad about your lens, hope it's repairable. The video is just awesome, love those old bulldogs. Wish we had those pulling trains over here in the U.S.

  • @tsport100 There's a reason for that, they are.

  • They look like seriously old locos?

  • Sort of reminds me of the old Northern Pacific mainline that passes through my home town. Once in a while you get 2 train going by at the same time on the double track mainline.
