    Hey, what did you make the templates of? They seem to be some PVC flooring tiles or something.... I don't want to use cardboard, but your solution looks neat.

    I'm about to restart kite making. And, although I never really got into hot cutting previously, I can see that a properly polished stainless steel seam setting washer would be an advantage. Perhaps you could see if you have a local machine shop, and get them to make one up.

    If the washer was about 4mm thick and has a 4mm polished radius on the inside edge, it might eliminate the wear on your cutting tips.
