Ruby & The Romantics was an American early 1960s R'n'B group, frequently considered a one-hit wonder, which topped the charts once with 1963's "Our Day Will Come", written by Mort Garson and Bob Hilliard.

Ruby Nash Curtis (born November 12, 1939, Akron, Ohio), the female lead of the group, originally sang with an all-girl group, consisting of her sister and two friends. They sang at record shops, mixers, talent shows and clubs in Akron and surrounding areas.

  • I can't see the problem with Amy Winehouse covering this song. It brought me here to listen to the original and I like both versions which isn't a bad thing. To me, saying she "murdered it" is silly. If you're going to produce a identical copy then why bother.

  • @sixchildren100 You know. I do love the original. But I have to agree that Winehouse absolutely killed it! Very impressive!

  • I am sorry but Ruby is sanging this song and five stars for this *****

  • eeeew amy wine house how can you even compare! lame!

  • Because of the comments, I had to listen to the Amy Winehouse cover. OMFG did that suck in technicolor. In my life have I only heard two people that could even come close to Ruby. Some things just cannot be bested.

  • @Gempalace "Murdered" means "Killed it", means "Nailed it" means SHE DID A GREAT JOB!!! You and the 25 thumbs up need to get OUTSIDE more instead of living a life on the internet

  • The Winehouse version is very good; however, IMO, not the same vocal quality as the original. Still, it was good.
