Apple Computer has long been noted for its industrial design prowess and ability to generate public interest with each new offering. Hear fascinating personal stories and perspectives of what it was like to be an industrial designer at Apple. Meet Jerry Manock, designer of the Apple II, Apple III and the original Mac, and Robert Brunner, head of Apple's newly-formed Industrial Design Group (IDg) in 1990 that produced the PowerBook, Color Classic, and LC 520. Moderated by noted industrial designer and IDEO co-founder Bill Moggridge.

  • I thought this was great. The whole time I was watching this I was thinking how these two guys were responsible for the design of the apple products I grew up with and adored in the 80's and 90's; LC II, Stylewriter II, heck I didn't know the applevision display I owned in 1995 was designed by Jonathan Ive, interesting tidbit. It's great to see the people and stories behind these designs

  • Really interesting, so cool to see the thought that goes into these things.

  • That oozed engineering goodness.

  • Yeah, this was really interesting!

Watch out for the microphone feedback sound at 1:25:09 though. Made me jump something fierce.
