While I always felt that Joe Zawinul didn't need (or should have ever had) a guitar player spot in the Syndicate...Scott Henderson is the lone exception. He's the only one who actually complemented the music.

@Cambodia69 look what i found in Scott's website message board: "I was a million miles out of my league on that gig. I'm not my own biggest fan now - back then I couldn't play shit. I have no idea why Joe hired me. I think he asked Scofield first but couldn't afford him. Anyway, it was amazing to get the opportunity to work with such a genius, but it was also difficult to know that Joe was used to hearing Wayne play every night and nothing I played could even come close to being that good."
