South Waziristan : Security Forces take control of Kotkai, DG ISPR - Operation Rah-e-Nijat

Security Forces have taken control of Kotkai, the native village of Taliban Chief Hakeemullah Mehsud, whereas 13 extremists were also killed in the clash, Director General, Inter Services and Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Athar Abbas has said. Briefing the media about recent developments in Operation Rah-e-Nijat. The DG ISPR told that security forces were advancing toward Kotkai, the native town of banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Chief Hakeemullah Mehsud and another Qari Husain, who is allegedly known as recruiter of suicide bombers and took control of the region last night. During the operation, security forces faced stiff resistance on part of the extremists and during last 24 hours, 21 terrorists have been killed whereas three soldiers embraced shahadat and eight were injured, he added. Responding a question from foreign media, Major General Athar Abbas stressed that Pakistan does not want any foreign interruption to fight militants in South Waziristan and forces want to enjoy public support rather than taking any help from outside.
