We weren't staying in Carbost - we live in Portree. I thought I recognised you when I passed, and it only occured to me later where I had seen you before.
You sure do love that ridge!

Were you back at the Cuillins about 3 weeks ago? If so, I passed you near Sligachan. I think you were about to get very wet, as it poured down about 10 minutes later (just as I got back to my car). I felt sorry for your poor mum!

Thank You!

i'm away to do this route on Friday (end of May). I'm expecting a lot of midgies.

It shows nothing. How about more of the action on the ridge....

Would you say you need to be a good climber, im going to skye for a week hiking and camping, im wanting to hike some mountains but dont want to die lol

A good climber, no, a scrambler, yes. If you've never done any scrambling before then there are probably better places to start. The Cuillin have some very exposed walking/scrambling.

The midges don't emerge until the end of May. That's why we go at the beginning of May!
