You think this is one of the worst songs ever because you associate it with a tv show from the '90s? That must have been one heck of a depressing show to turn you off from this song, but I can understand that.
Still, I think of this as a song about unconditional love, and when Meatloaf says "I won't do that," he's saying 'I won't lie, I won't cheat, I'm not doing this for lust.' It is really a heartfelt song, it you judge it on its own merits.

I remember being late for school, seems the "long version" [this one] of the video would always come on VH1 just as I was getting ready to leave. Watching the whole thing just for the few seconds of singing her part at the end.
What an epic video for such an epic song. Wow.
