love your stuff it's amazing. Had to try a double wall vessel. The bottom (top when I'm done) seems to have too much clay. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Practice throwing cylindrical forms. Lots of them. Follow two rules: 1. Make the wall as even as possible, from bottom to top. 2. You may not trim any excess clay off the bottom. Use all the clay and pull it up. Do this lots of times, each time trying to get taller and thinner. Start with 2 lbs. and gradually increase to about 7 lbs.

Bravo, Peter. I notice you haven't any recent ceramics videos or work on deviant. I would love to learn more about how you draw these tessellar patterns like this. I can envision however cannot quite make it work. I read a blog where you said you used a CPU program... Which one? Make more vids!

Who disliked this video? This is wonderful! I've just recently fallen in love with ceramics and throwing on the wheel and your work is truly inspirational and makes me all the more motivated to dedicate myself to this art.

When i carve patterns into my pieces I always run into the problem of getting the pattern to look completely continuous (the pattern doesn't meet perfectly on the edges). any suggestions? or is it all in planning it out and doing it a lot?

I am always in awe watching you do the impossible on the wheel - and THEN you show me some of your finished pieces and I have to glue my jaw back together again, it hits the table so hard!
THANK YOU!!! for sharing this!
