In Luke, Jesus reportedly said to sell everything. But in The Urantia Book, Jesus tells the same wealthy man how to use his wealth responsibly -- not to sell everything.

The Urantia Book is highly recommended for Truth seeking Christians who find themselves doubting their faith because of these Biblical fallacies. It will also inform you of the sources for much of the Jewish religion and of the history and Evolution of mankind. Yes, Evolution is one of God's creative techniques. Science okay.

I'm with you in my belief in God, but you cannot deny that the Bible has far too much in it that is Not from God. Today there are many Vocal Christians who expound their beliefs with words of hate, who quote from Leviticus, but of course do not follow those rules of making sacrifices to purify themselves for such things as touching their wife during menstruation. Christianity will fail if Christians don't open their eyes to the false in the Bible. I really believe this.

And it saddens me.

If everyone is selling, there are no buyers. You have made many good points without relying on emotional tugs. Long have I felt that much of the Bible was written by self-serving Priests. This is especially true of Leviticus.

So many do not know where these verses in the Bible came from. Much of Jewish morality comes from Egypt. There was also no agreement among these Jews. Even Solomon, the wisest king, filled the Temple with idols of other Gods. Seek God Personally. Read The Urantia Book.
