    This is a misconception. Dubstep, originated from reggae, grime and garage essentially. Brostep is what we call the "American influence". Meaning, all these pig noises and wolves attempting to rape one another is NOT Dubstep. Rusko simply glorified the notion of having obscure frequencies within Dub, thus pioneering the genre into a world of experimentation. Americans, i.e: Skrillex, used this foundation to appeal to the public's hardcore need for liberation. Imo, Brostep is "Pop"
