The gay parade is the biggest party in Madrid, so lots of sponsors. Don't scare, this is Spain, moral rules are different here, it would have been an issue not to be a sponsor in the gay pride. I can't stand homophobic comments in the internet, I'm so glad of living in a civilized country.

This is the gay pride parade at Madrid, Spain. This year Madrid was choosen as the capital of Europe for this event. Google gave support with a float (there were fourty four more floats, 2 millions people at the parade)

I'm mexican American and I respect Spain for it's legalization of cannabis and it's acceptance of gays a.k.a nature.

I don't understand Google's involvement in this parade. It's one thing to promote diversity through non-discriminatory hiring practices, but it's another thing to come out and sponsor a gay pride float. Would Google sponsor a Christian parade? (regardless of whether one actually exists or not) I doubt it.
