The Transportation Security Administration promotes its programs to ensure security by using undercover operatives to test its airport screeners. In one instance, however, the agency thwarted such a test by alerting screeners across the country that it was under way, even providing descriptions of the undercover agents.

The government routinely runs covert tests at airports to ensure that security measures are sufficient to stop a terrorist from bringing something dangerous onto an airplane. Alerting screeners to an undercover officer's timing and appearance would defeat the purpose.

But that's exactly what happened on April 28, 2006, according to an e-mail from a top TSA official who oversees security operations.

In an e-mail to more than a dozen recipients, including airport security staff, the TSA official warned that "several airport authorities and airport police departments have recently received informal notice" of security testing being carried out by the Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration.

The e-mail from Mike Restovich, assistant administrator of TSA's Office of Security Operations, relayed an alert that described a couple who were testing security. The woman is white but has "an oriental woman's picture" on her identification card, it stated. "They will print a boarding pass from a flight, change the date, get through security (if not noticed) and try to board a flight and place a bag in the overhead."

That's OK. Pretty soon they'll all be out of a job. And any NEW security companies at airports should be BARRED from hiring them. FIRST, NAPOLITANO and Piloter have to be FIRED! They've created a POLICE STATE in the country, and it MUST be stopped before they're man-handling people on every street corner in America. Their purpose is to de-sensitize people from ever encroaching abuse throughout this country by these MORONS. The TSA should be sued for EXTORTION for the $11,000 fine.

"There's a reason you separate military & the police. 1 fights the enemies of the state, the other serves & protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people"

"So long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom, those who wish to tyrannize will do so; for tyrants are active & ardent, & will devote themselves in the name of any number of gods, religious and otherwise, to put shackles upon sleeping men." Voltaire

One thing that can be is to give tsa screeners some incentive. If they fail, they should be fired on the spot. Considering they are the last line of deffence after everthing else failed.

The government reports that 70% of the time the TSA FAILS to find guns, explosive materials and potential bomb materials. Hire low IQ imbeciles and you get that kind of performance. Everyone is fearful about this nation becoming a soviet police state. Why worry? They are all stupid and easily dealt with. I can't wait for the government to try to shut down the country. It will be a "festival of ignorance" as one dude said when referring to Fox News. It will be hilarious as they fumble around.

you appear quite wise.. I really like your mind.. you understand something most do not.. unalienable rights are only ours through the creator, whatever that is to a each man. That is common law, leberties are permissible rights you have permission to use. No man has rights under the constitution, no man was a party to it.. It wa a scam from the beginning to replace our unaliable god given rights with liberties, which youonly have permission to use & thus can be taken away.
