a short video summarizing some of the most important characteristics of students today - how they learn, what they need to learn, their goals, hopes, dreams, what their lives will be like, and what kinds of changes they will experience in their lifetime. Created by Michael Wesch in collaboration with 200 students at Kansas State University.

College isn't a luxory, it's a tool. Professors aren't entertainment and are not supposed to do your work. You, the student, is not entitled to an education. My parents would have done anything in the world to even finish High School during the Great Depression but they had to work and join the military. LIFE is tough, face it, always has been and always will be!

First time I saw this video was when a teacher of mine showed it to our class on the first day as an icebreaker; it was his motivation to be a better teacher. The reality is that some teachers suck on purpose and some suck unintentionally (due to matters of time constraints or resources). If you don't have a passion to teach then why teach? Just like students should take responsibility for their learning teachers should also take responsibility for the way they teach. Tuition is ridiculous!

Went to uni got my bachelor degree but it is pretty much useless unless i do graduate school. I think the problem is that universities are not accurately displaying how useful/useless a bachelor degree really is. Most of the time it doesn't do much for you. But the experience of it was good i guess. Also, everyone is different. Some people use their textbooks some don't..it all comes down to you

There's nothing like reading an exchange on YouTube to make a person lose all hope for the future of humanity.

I would at least -like- to consider myself intelligent... and my course is not /difficult/ but rather, challenging. And my only point is from these comments,is that the educational system is not meant to be "entertaining" and babysitting... you're an adult, boring will be the rest of your life... so kids need to grow up and grab it by the balls. no point whining just because your lecturer doesn't give you 1-1 lessons.
