Motor vehicle crashes account for four of five deaths that occur among unborn babies of pregnant women who experience trauma. According to a study published in The Journal of the American Medical Association. Tummy Shield works by redirecting seat belt load away from the abdomen area to the thighs and pelvis area.Tummy Shield, is made of carefully engineered high tensile stainless steel, integrated within a cushion made of fire retardant materials similar to that used in aeroplanes and buses. Tummy Shield has undergone vigorous tests in some of Australias leading testing facilities, including crash tests at high speeds, to comply with ADR (Australian Design Rule).

Tummy Shield is also useful for people who has undergone a major abdominal surgery and are unable to drive because of the seatbelt pressure on the tender wound and the stitches. Until now, there is nothing of it's kind in the market worldwide.

    Hi Mark,

Thank you for your comment, please see response below:

The device is stringently tested in one of Australia's leading testing facilities to remove seat belt pressure away from the tummy area hence reducing risk of seat belt injury to mother and unborn baby.

The device works by diverting seat belt pressure to the pelvis and thighs area, tests data measured pressure to be within tolerance level.

    Kind regards,

    Tummy Shield Company

There is NO evidence that this device is safe and/or effective in preventing pregnancy loss. Moreover, the safety of this device with regard to the possibility of increasing injury to the pelvic has not been assessed.
