Come on .... Leafy Leahy! He's useless. Blab, blab. One of the most powerful in Washington and he allowed the invasion of Iraq. Chair of Judicairy and has yet to try any of the powerful responsible for invasion of Iraq. He should be in JAIL too.

My father in law was a Conservative Republican judge. He relied on the LAW.If we were not a Nation of Laws, we would be a dictatorship. The Presidency is a separate branch of gov't from the Judicial, despite the powers Bush has stolen for himself. It is not the president's right to fire lawyers midterm who do not follow his political agenda. We, the citizens, do not pay their salary so they can be used to settle party vendettas.

jsxdude.President had an absolute right to fire the attorneys. They served at his pleasure, and that meant they could be dismissed for any reason or for no reason. But even though the president chooses them, the U.S. attorneys are expected to conduct their offices in the neutral and nonpartisan way, they are not be the president's hand puppets. And he CANNOT FIRE THEM FOR POLITICAL REASON. RONALD REAGAN,BUSH SENIOR AND CLINTON FIRED ALL THE ATTORNEYS.Educate yourself and let congress do its job.
