Hi Austin,
I don't know whether your steel guitar playing abilities are God given or if you had to work very hard to get where you are. In either case, I hope you understand what a great player you are and that you truly appreciate being able to do something that most everyone else cannot.
Thank you again for sharing your music.

Thank you for the compliment! The ability to play is definitely a gift from God that I never take for granted. That, and the deep love of music and the instruments I play make any time playing a joy. I do go through times when I spend many hours playing but can't really call it work, it's too much fun! Thanks again!

Thanks for all the great comments! I confess I don't update or check in like I should, but I do appreciate it. The arrangement is "on the fly" so unfortunately I don't have any tab for it. The tuning is standard e9 with an additional 11 & 12 for some low end. Thanks again!

Hey Folks, Thanks for all the nice comments, I really appreciate them. AustinSTEEL, That is a P/P. borgrif, I enjoyed your video and would love to jam sometime. I am from Louisville and my wife lived in Fern Creek and we get back every now and then so we might be able to do that sometime. Keep Checking back as I am putting together a clip of some of my breaks with my band. I'll try to post it soon, Austin

Fantastic playing...I have a Carter D-10 and really like it...do you use a sustain, or additional reverb pedal etc. I'm trying to find the right combination. What would you recommend?

Harry, the amp that I used had all the effects built in, but on stage I run the steel through a Peavy Nashville 400 with a rack unit containing reverb, delay, chorus and various other effects. No sustain though, thats pretty much all Emmons. Austin

I can tell you this Austin, there is no other version of "Tennessee Waltz" that comes anywhere close to yours. I can hear the emotion that you put into the song and I can see the feeling you have for the music while watching you play.
I want to thank you again for sharing your talent with us all.
