The MK3 MR2 is faster than the 2.0 MK2 as it is lighter, he even sais so in this video.

the mk3 has better handling, because it's lighter, but the mk2 turbo is still faster. As Tiff said, the mk3 does 0-60 in 7.5 seconds, but the mk2 turbo does it in 6 flat.

But then there was the MR2 /MR2 MK3 turbo. Toyota fitted them and yes, they are rare. That should keep up with the MK2 turbo

@TopGearrules I would rather a car that is reliable. not like the MG F / TF with there head gaskets and what not. afew of the lads at work have them.

I didn't know that the Mr2 had the same engine as the celica gt

It dosent.... It has the celica 140BHP engine. It only has tha 190BHP engine if you do the swap yourself. I plan on doing one this year.

Just like with women, most people prefer blondes but I prefer brunette... Same with this car, I like it and you don’t. Personally I think it could have looked better, If it had supra like curves or if it was manned up a little. Also I don’t agree with it only having the 140BHP engine from the Celica when they could have offered the choice of the 190BHP 2ZZ engine also from the calica. It would have been easy for them to offer it as many people have performed the engine swaps already.
