Sometimes i slightly hope that my relationship will come to an end, so this kind of songs make more impact then they allready do. I can see myself sitting in a bar with an asstray full of cigarettes and a few empty glasses while i watch the snow fall down in the streetlights outside, Now and then a single car passes by slowly, but most of the people are sittting at home around the christmas tree, being happy and stuff, while i've got the ultimate blues feeling and feel secretive happy somewere.

45 years ago today the world lost this wonderful gift from God. It was a Sunday--I was in my college dorm room and heard the horrible news on the radio. When I went home the following weekend, I played this song over and over, and cried and cried, as I'm doing now.

This song was Otis' biggest hit up to that point (1965), rising to #21 on the pop chart and #2 on the R&B chart. Thank you for posting, and blessings to all who listen.

I think this is one of the greatest recordings of all time! I was a radio announcer from 1958-2002, and I've heard most everything. Everything about this record is perfect. I'd love to know which "take" this is.

What you just said here is very good. You are very weird but I hope the same thing for myself.
