So, I'm the four-year old in the video (it was taken 16 years ago), and I'd just like to say that neither me nor my sister were 'subjected' to anything, I remember it being a lot of fun... there was cheese and jokes involved! And my mother is a college professor--it doesn't get much more professional than that. And, of course my sister came across as smarter than me, she's three years older! All that being said, I hope you all enjoy this video and learn something from it.

I'm working on this topic right now. I liked the show but, sorry, were you really four years old? Hard to believe. You looked like (your appearance) a 7 year old smart boy. Thanks for the video and the explanation.

It's always nice to see classic experiments in action beyond the text.

This comparative task by Piaget was another of his methodological flaws. Try asking the child to select from 3 possible answers: 'more', 'the same', 'less'. Thus, the child is merely forced into an immature interpretation of the question as one that requires a superlative answer.
