Practicing the Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 2, by Ludwig van Beethoven is an experience that keeps getting better. In this performance, John Kangarlu is expressing his interpretation of this Sonata in the third movement. This movement is a stormy end to a work that is so powerful all along that has been dubbed under different names such as Moonlight Sonata. John is attempting to deliver the weight that Beethoven has meant for this movement to carry a stormy finale and to be able to reflect that ambiance much skillful playing is required.
