This is a Mandarin Song, popular in the early 70's sung by many singers, among them, Teresa Teng and Chen Fen Lan, before Samuel Hui "created" Cantopop. I sang this on karaoke and added pictures from my album for a slide show. As an afterthought, I added some pictures I received in an e-mail. These are pictures of statues near Amarilo, Texas. This is not a showcase of my vocal talents, just a simple way of letting my friends online know me better. Wishing all my friends a "Happy Chinese New Year!"
Who is whispering in my ear, calling my name softly?
The voice floats across the lake of my heart.
That is the desire of my wildest dreams,
the result of hoping day and night.
That voice stirs ripples in the calm pool of my heart.
Within these ripples, endless words speak to me over and over.
On my cheek, softly, tears leave a track.
How can I get over this sadness?
That's because you are leaving soon.
We will not be together from morning till night.
How I wish I can lock you in by the doors of my heart.
You have caused me to be obsessed,
And also caused my heart to pine.
This unforgettable person in my heart.
層層微波中 有千言萬語要告訴我 綿綿的對我訴說
曾經使我迷 也曾經使我心醉 難忘的心上這一位
