Actually this Bhajan reminds us of the golden age of Indian cinema back to 40's when K L Saigal dominated Indian Cinema.
This Bhajan especially reminded me of K L Saigal. M S's style resembles that of K L Saigal. At least I perceive so. Remember songs sung by Saigal, like 'Mahiya mori", "Baag Lagaa Du Sajani", "Do naina matvaare tohare", "Mai man ki baat bataau", "Diya jalao jag mag jag mag", "Julana julao", etc.

Please note that the mother tongue of this great singer was not Kannada but Tamil.

With all due respects, Lataji herself disagreed. Infact, after recording the meera bhajans in bombay by M.S , Lataji was about to sing in the studio. Lataji arraived early to hear the songs of M.S. Mesmarized with M.S voice, Lataji politely declined that she wont record any song on that day ("that too after hearing the voice of M.S)
