the actual name for this raga according to the sangeeta makaranda, ramamatya and other scholars is Dwijayavanti (One who is twice victorious). In the north it changed to Jayajayavanti, whilst in the south the raga nomenclature changed to Dwijavanti. The name "Jujavanti" can easily be taken as an apabhramsha of Dwijavanti.

I had always thought 'Dvijavanti' meant the raga of the twice-born, the 'Dvija'. Your etymology seems more plausible considering it is called 'Jayajayavanti' in Hindustani tradition.

I am blessed to listen to this song, especially from the devine singer.

Ms is such a beacon of deep spirituality and her life is an examle of simple devotion to the lord and we have to emulate her if we want to reach the spiritual height that she reached...by unquestioning Bhakti.
