"Yes on 8" means you're against same sex marriage.  A bunch of high school dropouts confused their own sexual feelings towards children with the fact that marriage is a legal, rather than religious, institution and passed it. The passage blew up in their face and you can go to websites like Prop 8 Maps to find out who donated to the movement and boycott them.
