ok if you think about it i know why they chose annette they chose her simply because if they found someone who was like tarja vocally then all the fans would say SHES COPYING TARJA! so they had to choose someone with a different singing type see what i mean?

If we are comparing end of an era though, listen to annette in Gampel. Her chest of wonders & nemo FTW. Hell, her whole old lineup is great, and I feel that her voice is much better suited for the spirit of those songs.

@Wanderinghealerx I will and for the record Nightwish is nightwish regardless who sings the songs. The heart of the band lies in Tuomas, Marco and company. So, they could get most competent lead singers because she would be sing Tuomas's words and performing melodies already constructed by Marco. Annette has exceeded that watermark and I look forwarded to hearing her sing on new tracks and maybe they may give her some input.

My general conclusion is that the songs like this, Eva, Meadows of Heaven or even Seven Days to the Wolves I believe Anette voice is more suited for these track. However, if you listened to "The End of the Era" live cd. You wish tarja was there for Nemo, Sleeping Sun, To Slay the Dreamer, Planet Hell, and Dark Chest of Wonders. When its a sung by her, there such stylistic touch by her. Its difficult to envison any singer to match her singing ability on these tracks uniquely defined by her,
