this was such a great bond film. i remember so much time passed between this one and Goldeneye. for a while i thought that this might be the last one.

Well, you can't really blame Dalton for leaving. I mean, if a person was excited about doing something, but then gets delayed for a long time, when the opportunity finally comes, the person got over it and doesn't care about it anymore, moved on.
