Is there a part missing? The talk was coherent until he became possessed by the voice of technology itself at the end there. I felt like he was wrapping everything up sweetly, like a good ol' Saint Nick, which is a shame, because he started off really well.

This talk reminded me of the media. How? By how he said entertainment being aimed toward positive emotion. The media today is at least near the equivalent of terrorism. This, in my reaction, made me speak out and say "Fuck the media". Why? Because they report what instills fear into us. Fear is what clouds rationality. On another note, I agree completely that psychology today demeans personal responsibility. You can't FIX someone. The point of psychology should be to help them COPE, to give HOPE
