well I was thinking about using simple weights in regular life but no 2 hour ride a hike and a one more 2 hour ride sound more efficient.

It may not get you ready to carry a pack though. My pack was almost 40 pounds and I didn't do anything before-hand to prepare. I did pretty well considering we hiked 38 miles. But like the guy in the video said you can practice carrying weights on your back. -keep on backpacking, its awesome!

dude i just got back from the wind caves some gnar backpacking. you're right it's awesome but dont tell any more people that it is otherwise the trails will be to crowded. so.......... backpacking sucks.........

In southern california, about 2 hours east of san diego. It was wild we went on a night-hike during the full moon.... it was like being on another planet honestly. It's just a huge desert almost with alot of wind formed formations.

wow that sounds really cool!! I live in Washington so I mostly hike in the Cascades. Its very beautiful out here... lots of trees and lakes :D one of my friends has some of our backpacking videos here on youtube... just look up "tintiniscool" and you can see them
