Mario Lanza fans have a hard time admitting that finer tenors existed....I know....I have a particular connection to, and affection for him....but you are right...the Gigli rendition is superior...If anyone however, can lead me to a better Lament di Frederico or O Paradiso....I would like to hear it...My Grandfather heard both Enrico Caruso and Mario Lanza live in concert in Chicago.....He said Lanza was as great as Caruso.......
