Official 2001: A Space Odyssey Trailer

how come?

This flick without question is a classic like Gone with the Wind and many other classics. This movie is one that has technology never seen in other futuristic flicks like Total Recall, Demolition Man and Blade Runner.

I have huge props to Stanley Kubrick (RIP) for translating the flick from book to movie and for the author who made this classic book to begin with.

I loved Avatar. The script was just above adequate at best, but the visual presentation of the film shows why Cameron deserves all of his fame. The use of CGI was stunning and the combination of practical effects made it even more memorable. It was significantly flawed in a multitude of ways, but the experience of Avatar was more exciting than anything that's come out in the past few years, at least in my view. But to say Avatar is better than 2001: A Space Odyssey is ridiculous on every level.
