Well, it's partially because there are a lot of clips of this song on Youtube... the one w/Baez has more than 20,000 views.

@mabewa yeah and that one cuts out the most important verse about Emma Gordon, Joe Hill and so on.

It cuts at the end because the original footage cuts immediately to a completely different scene. You can hear the audio of the new scene just beginning right at the end. I made the cut as smoothly as I could without doing a fade.

all RESPECT to steve earle. besides being a splendid singer/songwriter, he's a rare breed these days - an artist with a social conscience whose not afraid to voice his concerns about the injustices in the world. like the heroes he listed in the introduction, he too, walks the walk and talks the talk.
