All the covers are really great!!! It awesome where we live in an age where we can hear all of them freely and on a whim. I remember I used to loved Fats Dominoe to death and still do, but man can buy Rick Nelson camtake you into a strange little power place of his own!!
Pat was a winner on the old Arthur Godfrey Talent Scouts show, as was Harry Belafonte and Roger Williams. As for stealing songs, whether in quotes or not, it is not done (lawsuits).Covers, yes, and that is what this is. It is not Pat's fault corporate American radio played few black artists in those days. I was getting plenty of Fats, Chuck, Elvis, and more back in '54 on the jukebox.Radio, tv, and movies just took longer to accept the inevitable.
