Downloading pirated films is stealing,

PIRACY IT'S...
You wouldn't steal a car, you wouldn't steal a handbag, you wouldn't steal a television, you wouldn't steal a movie.
Downloading pirated films is stealing, stealing is against the law, PIRACY IT'S A CRIME

1. So... stealing expensive items is OK? And stealing from rich people is OK?
2. I realize that not all downloading is taking the place of a legitimate purchase. But very few ppl dl stuff all the time, and still actually pay for the things they would have bought. Usually they just dl it too.
3. lolololol @ me being a rich executive. cause obviously everyone who is anti-theft, and approves of talented innovators getting richly rewarded, HAS TO BE a greedy old white man in a suit.
1. I'm not buying it because the greedy bastard music labels and movie producers put such a high price tag on it and they blame piracy for the high cost.
2. I can live without it. It is only a convenience to download it and if I can get it for free, I will.
3. You're not gonna change my mind about downloading. Don't bother replying because Im blocking your ass. You're probably another greedy exec trying to make money off talent and screwing them over, blaming piracy and lining your own pockets
And one more thing... piracy is the reason for all of the following:
- Starcraft 2 not having LAN support - MW2 not having dedicated servers - RIAA suing teenagers for $50,000 - Install discs that only work on one computer, or can only be installed 3 times - Fewer game companies able to stay in business - All the idiotic problems of dealing with DRM - Great games like World of Goo make no money if they dare to not use inconvenient anti-piracy methods, so no sequel is made
Well, people don't think for themselves much in general. But when it comes to believing propaganda, there are tons more people who believe the BS of "it's ok to download stuff, it doesn't hurt anyone".
If you "wouldn't buy it anyway" then why dl it? Clearly you want the product, so you place some value on it. "I wouldn't buy it anyway" is just a convenient line used by people who often would actually buy it, at least once in a while.
Hello, total replication just like an MP3 is how I was looking at that. In that case you said it would be like me breaking into the factory and taking one right off the line after it was done. Here's how I justify downloading... I wouldn't buy it anyway even if there was no option to download, so in the end they wouldn't get my money anyway.
Like I said, BS like this propaganda video is poisoning the mind. No one thinks for themselves anymore.
Suppose you owned and operated a restaurant, and suppose it's magically possible (but illegal) to make copies of food.
Now suppose someone stood in front of your restaurant and handed out free copies of your food to everyone who showed up. How would you feel about that?
And how would you feel when their counter argument is "well, not EVERY person I gave food to would have gone inside your restaurant and made a purchase!"
Downloading a copy DOES hurt someone. It would hurt the designers, manufacturers, and sellers of cars. It would also hurt all of the producers of raw materials that sell materials to car makers.
The net effect to them is the same as if you had stolen a car. And if millions of people did it (leaving very few people actually buying cars), it would destroy all of those businesses.
I wouldn't steal a car... but if I could download a COPY of it to the point where it doesn't hurt anyone, hell yes I would!!!! Don't give into this BS propaganda. Downloading is fine, BS is not.
