As a lifelong Philly Phan and resident I have always loved Pete Rose and have recently been buying Rose Cards off EbaY in hopes that they will increase in value and be passed on to my son. As for the last comment posted, I agree $400 is way too much, I see them selling with COA's for as little as $20 on Ebay.
And have made a personal choice to NOT watch the Eagles play because Mike Vick is SCUM (horrible role model for kids)
I saw Pete Rose at a memorabilia shop at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas. I was soo excited that i would have the chance to get his autograph.
I went up to his desk and asked if I could have his autograph, the bodyguards said that it was $400 for one, I was speechless and there was Pete just sitting there drinking his iced tea not saying anything... What a Jerkoff!!! (Just wants the money)
Lets assume for a moment that you are right regarding his talent. For what he accomplished for having no talent makes him all the more deserving of the Hall based on those same accomplishments. It is even more remarkable thinking of the numbers he put up and having no talent. Wow, Thanks for making such a great point that he belongs in the hall.
Rose, a switch hitter, is the all-time Major League leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053)[1], and outs (10,328). He won three World Series rings, three batting titles, one Most Valuable Player Award, two Gold Gloves, the Rookie of the Year Award, and made 17 All-Star appearances at an unequaled five different positions (2B, LF, RF, 3B & 1B).
To all the critics of Pete Rose: What is the matter with you? He has suffered for 40 years . Nobody knows better than him that he made a mistake. He needs to be in the hall of fame for his positive accomplishments ( even if you insist on an asterisk ). P.S : using profanity in your posts does not give you much credibility as a valid critic.
