What was the last metal song you listened to. I play in an orchestra. It's not like I know nothing about classical music. I understand you may well have heard some really bad metal songs, because I have too, but it seems to me like you're assuming what I'm saying is wrong because, put simply, you don't know enough about the topic.

an english horn

the 1st one showed in the beggening is a bass oboe they also have an english horn too which is way smaller than the bass oboe :)
