I agree. It is excellent! I don't know a whole lot about Peking opera (except what I've been told by some Chinese friends). And just so you know, we also have melismas in Western music. It might be slightly different, but I'm pretty sure it's pretty similar.

I'm not saying who's better, just asking for appreciation of what he's been through to get so good, because after all, Peking Opera isn't just about how well u can sing, or even how good your voice is.

Well, on BGT, the likes of Charlie Green and Hollie Steele were impressive because they had great voices.

Peking Opera, besides singing from the diaphragm, tells a story, so not only did he need to learn the history (3 kingdoms), but he also needed to BECOME the minister Zhuge Liang ('entering the role').

Plus, Peking Opera emphasises hand & eye-movement/ tone oscillation etc, all of which require LOADS of practice and hard-work (a formal performance involves MUCH more, like somersaults).
