I am an Irish dancer, and I've found that tapping while moving forward is muuuuuch easier than trying it standing still. There's something about the motion that gives me more energy. My group performs in a parade every year, and this year, we had to do fast steps while moving down the street. I thought it was going to kill me, at first, but then, I found that I really, really liked the movement. And, it didn't kill me. :)
