Darvon, Distalgesic, Co-Proxamol - the worst drugs ever

Right now, I've got a mega huge ulcer in my mouth, im taking these distalgesic's, so far they are working well, barely any pain at all. Any risks at all?

I was given this stuff once for an ulcer. Why the doctor decided to give me this garbage instead of something that would have had some real effect, I do not know. After I took it, I spent the next 10 hours pacing my apartment and was nervous as all hell. There was ZERO relief of my stomach pain. I dumped the rest of the bottle down the toilet. This shit messed with my head and made me ill. Absolute Trash!

darvocet is horrible, it does nothing for my pain and makes me sick, ive been in awful pain for all living memory of my life, moral of the story dont be born and live as a young person with a serious back problem in the city with the worst medication abuse record in the country, you may be in pain for the rest of your life being looked at by real doctors like a dope head and be doomed to never ending pain

I had the same experience with Darocet. I get a headache maybe 3-4 times a year. Within one hour of taking one of these shitty pills, I had a terrible headache, horrible dry mouth, anxiety and I felt very ill. Worst pain med EVER.

There is no way to prevent that from happening. He doesn't emphasize it but Tylenol is the main toxic ingredient to the liver (& almost always compounded with Propoxy). Short term use at low dose up to 100 mg daily WITHOUT concurrent use of any other CNS drugs is fine, but many pain patients are on MULTIPLE meds that are hard on the liver. So the Q stands... WHY use it when say, MSContin can be used if an alternative to Hydrocodone is needed (to "sidestep" tolerance). That's what he's saying.

Rhetoric needs to be dialed down so folks people will listen & understand. Not everyone who takes it dies. Problem is, the effective dose (assuming NO other pain killers) has a very narrow range for increase as opposed to other opiates. You can increase Vicodin etc to very high levels, & if done over time, tolerance is built up. Propoxys range of increase before heart issues is very narrow, unlike other opiates.... sometimes fatal at 400mg's, 100-250mg's daily being the recommended dose.

hey listen up. i have a can of propoxyphene. i was at the dentist today and they pulled me teeth out. THEREFOR I am gonna use one tablett for the painkilling. i hope its nothing dangerous i got this can of propoxyphene in texas dallas when i had teethache. so im gonna take one tablett and hopefully nothing is gonna happen beside that the pain goes away! greetings from sweden
