Eh, I think everyone has a right to their own beliefs. If people want to be Scientologysts, then that's their right, just as it's others right to be Christian, Hebrew, Muslim, ect.

I agree, sadly this isnt the kind of religion that you choose, first they bring you in with this thetan levels thing, then they tell you your depressed and say what scientology can do for you, afterwards they make you pay to go and work for them and make sure you arnt allowed contact from the outside world, its very scarey and destroys relationships with friends and family. =(

Not just in the US, although they have the most power here I think. They're also in Europe, though rapidly losing their grip there, and I think they've made an appearance in Japan, though I doubt they're very popular. I'm pretty sure there's Chanology cells in Japan if nothing else.
