First time I heard Khatachurian's Masquerade I thought it would make a great music for the ball scene in either War and Peace or Anna Karenina. And here it is.The director must have read my mind.

Yes the russian version is in a diffferent league altogether - but the BBC series from 1972 was also far better than this.
