I did banana harvesting if far Nth Queensland around the Cairns area bloody hot and heavy work. You have large non poisonous spiders crawling on your shoulders but the thing that scares you is when you see a Taipan snake in the bunch of bananas, one bite and your dead in 30 mins. The English and European backpackers leave after seeing the first Taipan and giant spider, great life experience for a young guy.
