Its true that Valley Girl was the most successful single in US, but for overseas: Bobby Brown was freakin' huge in Europe and Japan. Both are classic satirical tunes.
I never got into Zappa and couldn't quite figure out why others love him. His arrangement and overall sound just never did much for me. But ... for some odd reason, this "Valley Girl" song is awesome and very catchy to my ear. You guys are gonna hate me for this, but I dig ValleyGirls. They created a language out of nothing and most of 'em were cute and dumb.
Because it makes me sound much more smarter around them.
Seriously, it can get a bit annoying when used excessively, but I'd prefer that lingo over "yo, yo, yo, what up bitch, fizzle-da-hizzle" today's modern filth.
