Sympathy and Respect go hand in hand. How can one have respect with demonstrating an understanding of the true events.

Patronising? No. We were so desperate and so grateful for the help the Poles (and Czechs and many others). Churchill wanted so very much to help the Poles in the Warsaw uprising and wanted to send RAF lancasters to drop food and weapons but the distance was too far without refueling and Stalin cynically would not agree to refule them at soviet airbases. But we remember.

Very true... the original soundtrack was Within Temptation "Angels" if i`m not worng.

It`s time to change famous American slogan to more accurate:

"IN GOLD WE TRUST"

They should erect a monument to the golden calf in Williamsburg N.Y. like jews did it before on the desert when they run away from Egypt. After all at least half of N.Y. inhabitants is jewish.

Roosevelt had no compunction about selling out the Poles and others to Stalin. He knew he was dieing and wanted to be know as the president who won the war. He at least in Europe. Trueman was less accepting of the Soviets but ignorant of much of Roosevelt's decisions and processes. It is not just the Poles who were sacrificed in the name of "Peace". General Patton was censored perhaps assassinated because he publicly stated that he thought we should kick the Soviets ass.
