I can't tell you which is better, but my brother uses an Ibanez and with the Floyd rose system they are awesome if you wish to play solos :D
You should get a guitar that feels good to you and not follow everything people say, it has to feel like a part of you if you understand, so you should really try different guitars before you make up your mind.
