if you want a REAL cover look for pillar's cover of the same song. They put a heaver beat on it.

as for these two, i don't blame them for putting it in their own style, thats what they are used to. what i do blame them for is song selection... i would much rather see them cover love is blindness, as it would suit their style better.

mmm... i'll cite bono at redrocks by telling you that "this is not a rebel song" i think you haven't heard the lyrics at all... this song goes against the rebel fights in Ireland, but not taking a real position (favor/against). Instead, the lyrics go further by thinking on the innocents that died and their relatives.

Anyways at concerts, U2 usually stands against IRA.

who mentioned ira, if you think the trouble in the noth boils down to ira and anti ira, ya need to not only read up a good bit more but also wonder why sectarianism still exists?, , , one would have to believe there are a few more issues at hand there, , , , and as for the "not a rebel song" thing, Does nobody get sarcasm!? and your saying "this song goes against the rebel fights in Ireland", does that not mean its rebelling against the rebels thus making it the most rebellious of all?
